  The Following Additional Tips Must Be Checked Or Rectified Otherwise Fitting Problems Or Noisy Camtrain Will Be Experienced.
1. AUSTIN ROVER CARS UCKV8 To UCKV8FL Rover V8 Kits. Ensure Rocker Shaft Rockers Have No Side Play & That Push Rods Have Clean Hemispherical Ends Without Centre Pips Developing. Rectification - Renew Worn Parts!
 
2. AUSTIN ROVER CARS UCK2084 To UCK2084T Peugeot Based XUD Diesel Engines. Ensure Cam Retaining Caps Are Not Cracked. Ensure Cam Housings Have Not Been Line Bored (Cam Would Be Loose In Housing). Rectification-Replace Parts.

4. BMW UCK2063 To UCK2064R Ensure Distributor Drive Gear Direction Is The Same As Old Camshaft.
 
5. BMW UK525i To UK735R Ensure Camshaft Nose Lugs For Distributor Drive Are The Same As Old Camshaft.
 
6. CITROEN UCK2082 To UCK2083. Ensure That Oil Filter In Cylinder Head Oil Feed Gallery (Found Just Below Head Gasket Face) Is Cleaned. With Regret The Head Has To Be Removed To Accomplish This Task. Ensure Cam Retaining Caps Are Not Cracked.
 
7. CITROEN UCK2084 To UCK2094T Peugeot Based XUD Diesel Engines. (See Austin Rover (2)), Also Ensure Camshaft Vacuum Pump Drive Method Is Similar (Belt Driven Vacuum Pump - Cam Has Woodruff Keys Each End) 2084 Type Or (Direct Driven Vacuum Pump Cam Has Woodruff Key One End Only And Slot Drive The Other) 2094 Type
 
8. CITROEN UCK2085 To UCK2097 Petrol Kits. Ensure Rocker Shaft Is Cleaned & Inspected & Reinstalled Correct Way Up.
 
9. FORD FNI600 To FFN2000T Pinto Kits. Ensure Cam Bearings Are Checked For Scoring Or Wear. Concentrate Inspection On The Upper Half Of The Bearings Particularly The Centre One Which Normally Develops A Centre Wear Ridge. If Worn Please Replace Bearings, (UCB 1620), Otherwise Oil Flow To Feed Pipe Is Drastically Reduced.
 
10. FORD UK8019 To UK8020 Kent Engines. Ensure Cam Follower Stem And Head Diameters Are The Same As old Units.
 
11. FORD FN8135 To FN8245 V6 Cologne Kits. Ensure Main Journal Diameters Are Similar To Old Unit. Ensure Oil Galleries Through Head Are Clear. Ensure Rocker Shaft Rockers Have No Side Play.
 
12. FORD UK8111 To UK8333 Fiesta/H.C.S Engines Ensure Cam Follower Stem And Head Diameters Are The Same As Old Units. Ensure Cam Lobe Layout Is The Same As Old Cam As Early And Late Engines Have Different Firing Orders!
 
13. FORD UKCVH To UKCVHi CVH Engines. As Per Fitting Instructions. Ensure Cam & Follower Housings Are Not Oversize. Ensure Fuel Pump Rod is not Worn On Cam Mating Face.
 
14. FORD UK1600D & UK1800D Diesel Cam Kits. Ensure Cam Caps Are Not Cracked & That Cam Bearing Shells Are In Good Condition - Ensure Vacuum pump Rod Is Not Worn On Cam Mating Face.
 
15. FORD FN8038 & FN8039 York Diesel Kits. Ensure Cam Does Or Does Not Have A Fuel Pump Cam Lobe

31. VAUXHALL UCK771 To UCK772P. Ensure Selection Of Kit Is Correct. UCK771 Series Has Valve Clearance Adjusted On The Valve Spring Cap. UCK772 Series Has Valve Clearance Adjusted By An Allen Keyed Ball Stud. Ensure Cam Bearings Are In Good Condition. Ensure '0' Ring Between Number 3 Bearing Pillar & Head Is Present And Sealing.
 
32. VAUXHALL UCK8132 To UCKS242L Petrol Kits. Ensure Engine Does Not Have An Undersize Cam Carrier Housing. If So The New Cam Will Slide All The Way Through The Carrier, But It Will Appear Not To Enter The Final Housing (Order An Undersize Camshaft). Basic Cam Kits Must Have The Old Hydraulic Columns Individually Stripped And Cleaned & Re-Assembled With A Smear Of Oil Only.
 
33. VAUXHALL UCK8140 To UCK8240L Diesel Kits. As Per Vauxhall Notes (32). Also Ensure Vacuum Pump Oil Tube To Camshaft Has New 'O' Rings Fitted As Supplied In The Kit. These Cams Do Not Have A Pulley Drive Dowel & And Must Be Specialist Timed. UCK8140 Series Can Be Timed With A Setting Jig. UCK8240 Series Must Be Timed With A Clock Gauge As Per Fitting Instructions Supplied In The Kit.
